Rep. Dr. Jasmine Clark, Candidate for Georgia's 13th Congressional District, Raises $165k from Nearly 3,000 Individual Donors in First Month of Campaign
Unprecedented grassroots support leads to Dr. Clark to outraise 22- year incumbent Rep. David Scott in just 29 days

LILBURN, GA– Today, Rep. Dr. Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) announced that her campaign has
raised nearly $165,000 since launching on June 2nd. With an average contribution of $39 from
nearly 3,000 individual donors, Dr. Clark’s campaign is off to the fastest start of any candidate
for Georgia’s 13th Congressional District.

“I’m truly floored by the support that this campaign has received in only 29 days since I entered
the race,” said Dr. Clark. “This is a people-powered campaign and I cannot be more thankful for each and every person who said yes to sending a fighter and a scientist to Washington to fight against the Republican assault on our institutions and the truth.”

“There’s only one candidate in the race generating the momentum and grassroots energy needed to win and lead the fight against Donald Trump’s agenda in Congress–and that’s Jasmine Clark,” said Jake Field, Dr. Clark’s Campaign Manager. “Dr. Clark is a proven winner and she’s on track to do it again.”

The campaign has donations from every county in the 13th Congressional District. Clark’s 2,960
individual donors massively outnumber the incumbent, who reported only $141 in donations of
less than $100 and nearly every dime from corporate DC PACs. Dr. Clark also outraised Rep.
Scott by more than $100,000, despite only being in the race for 29 days.

Dr. Clark earned her PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Emory University and completed a postdoctoral project in HIV research. In addition to her legislative service, Dr. Clark serves as an Assistant Professor of Biology, working with undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students. Born and raised in Georgia and a longtime resident of Lilburn, Jasmine is raising her daughter, Jayda, who attends Gwinnett County Public Schools, and her son Jacobe who is a sophomore in college.
