Dr. Jasmine Clark has served in Georgia’s Legislature since 2018 after flipping a long-time Republican held seat. Although she has served in the minority, Jasmine has effectively fought back against GOP leadership: She successfully blocked the State School Superintendent from banning AP African-American Studies in schools; she called out Gov. Kemp for falsifying data during COVID, forcing him to correct the record; and, when Republicans attempted to pass an abortion ban using information from a fake medical organization, Dr. Clark discovered their lie and exposed the truth.
Whether calling out Republicans when they deliberately misrepresent data, organizing members of the Democratic caucus to block the Republicans' most extreme actions, or introducing legislation to create a safer, healthier, more prosperous state for all Georgians, Dr. Jasmine Clark has never shied away from a tough fight. She knows how to stand up to extremists in power and win.
With Trump attacking our institutions and stripping funding from the CDC and the NIH, and cutting health care for millions, we need experienced, fearless leaders like Dr. Clark in Congress.
