PRESS RELEASE

Rep. Dr. Jasmine Clark for Georgia Calls Out Rep. David Scott for Not Voting in Six Straight Elections, Including 2024 Presidential Election and 2025 Public Service Commission Election

Despite numerous important elections on the ballot in the most important swing
state in the country, Rep. Scott has not cast a vote since May 2024

LILBURN, GA– Today, Rep. Dr. Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn), a microbiologist, Emory University biology professor, and candidate for Congress, calls out Rep. David Scott for not casting a vote in six straight elections, including sitting out when he had a chance to stop Donald Trump from winning Georgia and elect the first Black female President in Kamala Harris.

“Our right to vote is sacred and consistently under attack,” said Rep. Dr. Clark. “I cannot fathom any elected official asking his constituents for their votes every two years while not even bothering to go vote himself. We need leaders who will do everything possible to turn out votes for Democrats up and down the ballot in 2026. How can voters trust him to truly stand up for them when he didn’t even do the bare minimum to stop Donald Trump? From missing votes in DC, to missing town halls at home, Rep. Scott hasn’t shown up for his community when it really matters, and now we know that he can’t even be trusted to show up to vote when democracy is on the line.”

According to public records from the Georgia Secretary of State, Rep. David Scott (who has never resided in CD13) has not voted in six straight elections, including the 2024 Presidential Elections, yesterday’s blowout Democratic win in the Georgia PSC elections, the primary and runoff for the PSC elections in May and June of this year, and runoff elections in 2024 for local Fulton County and City of Atlanta elections. Rep. Scott, a registered voter in Georgia since 1970, did not request an absentee ballot, vote early, or vote on election day. Rep. Scott’s wife, who is registered to vote at the same address, cast a ballot in both the 2024 Presidential Election and the 2025 PSC elections.

Unredacted copies of the voter file are available by request. This information was obtained through an Open Records Act request from the Secretary of State’s office by Rep. Dr. Clark’s campaign team.
